Sales Engineer,  France

Job Summary:

Trimble's Precision Tools business  is a leading innovator of productivity solutions for construction contractors. Our solutions leverage laser technology to provide level, line, plumb, 90 degree and layout from CAD drawings - delivering significant productivity and efficiency gains throughout all phases of construction. We are looking for a Sales Engineer for the Precision Tools  business, to provide support for the construction tools supply channel in France for accounts such as Point P and Chausson. You will be the expert providing all the technical details and know-how for all of our laser products to the channel in addition to supporting a network of commission agents. Trimble supports your success especially with top training in Germany and the USA, strong support concerning technical applications and administration and the chance to travel. You will be part of a great international team of other sales engineers looking forward to exchange experiences and help with you. You will be based in France and will be responsible for supporting sales in that region. Sales and technical training will be provided.

Duties: • Support the French Sales Manager in taking new products to market and into our distribution • Support sales with demonstrations and technical presentations • Sales training for our distribution on the Precision Tools portfolio • Give feed-back and advice to our R&D team regarding voice of the customer • Help to organize and support trade shows/events • Work with our distribution to define the best solution to meet the needs of end-users • manage and coordinate activities with a network of commission sales agents.

Skills/Qualifications: • Knowledge of construction and construction lasers a benefit • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred •  5+ years' experience in engineering, sales, or technical product support  •  Business skills – a good commercial understanding • Computer literacy (SalesForce experience an advantage) • Fluent in French and English language skills (Spanish desirable) – written, oral on phone and in person as well as in presentations and training • Self-motivated – require minimal supervision • Must be a Team-Player • Willing and able to travel up to 60-70% (Driver’s license and current passport mandatory), • Focused and ability to work with integrity and have  a desire for advancement.
