Internship : Development of fingerprint DHS
Continental is one of the main suppliers in the automotive industry. Within the subsegment MSM (Mechatronic Sensor Modules) Continental develops Door Handle Sensors (DHS). These capacitive sensors detect when the car user touches the door handle, in order to lock or unlock the vehicle automatically. With the appearance of connected vehicles, door handle sensors must be connected too. Therefore, Continental wants to integrate a fingerprint module inside a door handle sensor.
During this internship, the intern will be in charge of the development of a new door handle sensor prototype, which integrates the fingerprint function. This prototype will be a concept proof, and it will be used to determine the performances and the limits of such sensors.
