AIG Europe S.A. is recruiting for its newly established HQ in Luxembourg, a Head of Legal who will be responsible for advising AIG Europe SA including advising the Managing Director and the Board on all legal and regulatory issues across Europe including:  

  • acting as chief adviser to the Board;
  • providing legal and regulatory advice on all major legal specializations, including insurance programmes and products for commercial and consumer lines,  enterprise risk management, capital management, treasury, target operating models, near shored service centres, M&A, securities, anti-trust investigations, litigation and taxation;
  • ensuring the Company’s activities in the pursuit of its business aims complies with its legal and regulatory obligations;
  • providing Legal challenge on Executive decisions relating to strategic objectives and business plans;
  • monitor legal and regulatory changes and feed those into the business to ensure compliance with new laws and regulations;
  • anticipating issues and facilitating solutions to legal challenges in support of business growth and ensuring the proper and complete handling of all legal matters through in-house legal resources and outside counsel;
  • ensuring the Legal fees budget is utilized to support the key strategies; and
  • designing and implementing initiatives to create efficiencies and achieve the maximum value from its legal budget; 
  • leadership of the legal function for AIG Europe SA and management and development of talent
