Promotional products are strategic for French business, and show a continuous increase (more than 20% of total business).
Related copacking activity reflects this fact : 80% of copacked items are promotions.
It is a very sensitive business requiring 100% service level, particularly if products are shown on tract (retailers being compelled to sell them to their customers during the complete duration of the promotional campaign, otherwise important penalties are raised to industrials).
In the CS&L DP&F team, managed by a cross-category Planning Manager, the Copacking Planner is responsible for copacked products availability for his portfolio and/or category (Chocolate, Season, Biscuit, Gum&Candy) to guarantee the excellence of the service level.
He also monitors stock levels in the frame of European strategy (EOC model), and optimize their costs.
Missions  :
CFF copacking contact for other departments
• Capacity production planning for his copacking portfolio, for all channels (Retail, AFH, Export)
• Projects/Launches/Delists follow-up with PCM, CP, ATP departments
• TPO Process (third party ordering) for external copackers & packaging supply
• Europe purchasing guidelines for packaging
• Management & issue resolution for invoicing problems with MBS
• Continuous improvement activities (process/tools, team organization)
Service level & cost control
• Copacked products availability to reach 100% CSL target
• Weekly alerts to business about stockout risks and close monitoring with Cust Sce/ATP to mitigate impact
KPIs follow-up (CSL & RC analysis)
• Copacked FG stock level management and associated alerts (overflow)
Obsolescence alerts / slow movers follow-up & exhaustion (brokers, decopacking, promos etc) + write-offs forms to Europe if necessary
• Packaging stocks management at copackers (to avoid saturation &/or overcosts) & associated KPIs

• Packaging supply to limit stockouts or obsoletes, slow movers exhaustion & write-off forms to Category if needed

• If applicable, Chocolate Xmas & Easter seasons successful execution (50% of total season volumes produced at copackers’)

Copackers activity management

• Warning (Management, Logops Copacking and copackers) of any capacity risk linked to demand evolution/seasonality & related activity adjustments implementation (conditions & costs being validated by Logops)

• Monthly formalized copackers’ activity follow-up & associated KPIs

• KPIs weekly communication & copackers’ challenge if needed

• Support to Logops Copacking to reach spent target  (about 20M€) by optimizing production plan (capa smoothing, runs grouping)

Major Responsibilities :
Excellent copacking planning & packaging supply execution to reach CSL target and limit costs

  • On the basis of weekly demand update, ensures best possible products availability (std + promo) with 98,5% CSL target (100% for promo & season), in the respect of logistics contraints & European stock, purchasing & costs policies (wastes & penalties)

  • In this purpose, garantees :

  • Capacity production availability

  • Packaging material availabilty

  • Correct Semi-finished requirements to other Supply Chain partners (hub & CFF)

Copacking planning process respect & optimization

  • Follows copacked FG from their launch to their exhaustion

  • Optimizes means at lowest cost

  • Builds constructive relationships with other CS&L, sales & commercial funtions

  • Participates to operations efficiency (Mid/long term planning, quality conformance…)

  • Builds a daily partnership with copackers to improve their performances & the use of common tools / KPIs

  • Initiates/ contributes to continuous improvement projects




Required Profile:

Experience : 
  • Bachelor’s degree+2 years with minimum 3 yers experience in Supply Chain or Bachelor’s degree+5 years if junior
  • Previous successful job experiences (2 or 3) in Supply Chain functions

  • English and French fluent
